Thank you to everyone that has pitched in one way or another for the last 2 months to help with dinners, breakfast, kickball, and other events around the lodge and social quarters. Thank you to Ron, Ben, Pam and Chuck for donating their time to bartend and cocktail. Thank you as well to those that have donated their time to do yard work and to clean inside and outside of the lodge. You are appreciated more than I can say.

We have decided to continue with Sloppy Joes on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, we will not be serving tacos on those nights. We will continue to have Taco Tuesday on the other Tuesday's . The price will continue to be $5.00 per trip for either one. Also remember to try to defray the cost of the coffee we need to charge for coffee at these meals. We are using the honor system for the coffee, tea and hot chocolate at these events. Your first cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate is $1.50 and refills are free. There is a basket by the coffee pots and we ask that when you take the beverage of your choice, that you will leave the $1.50 in the basket. See you on Tuesday!!

We will once againg be having a polka fest at the lodge over Labor Day weekend. Passes for the event can be purchase through a Polka Club member. Anyone that has any questions can contact Keith Kraft and I am sure he will be able to help you out.

I would also like to thank Keith Kraft and the Polka Club for sponsoring the 4x4x4 event that we had on July 12th. Also thank you to Chapter 877 WOTM for helping with the ice cream, food and snacks. Also thank you to Ben and Chuck for taking care of the bar. A great big thank you also goes out to the bands that we so kind and donated their time to play. Thanks to everyone else that came out and helped in anyway to make this event a success. The money raised at this event went towards the down payment to purchase the doors for the coolers. It was such a fun time ware looking forward to trying this again.

I would like to encourage each and every lodge and chapter member to come to our joint meeting the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00p.m. This is your chance to voice you concerns, ask questions and give us your ideas for new and fun activities at the lodge. Please come and join us, We really need you.

I know that Calhoun is a pretty big mess but don't forget the lodge is still open. Please don't let a little construction keep you away. I have been assured by JTL (the company doing the work) that they will be sure to make sure we have access to the lodge. I have also been told that they would have id done by the end of August. Let's hope that is the case.

I would like to thank Lee Keyser, Darcy Russell and Dave Halland for donating the big TV's for the lodge. They are a nice addition to the social quarters. So when its hot outside and you need to escape the heat, come on in and have a cool one and enjoy the new big screens.

Please be sure to check out the calendar and plan on coming in for some of the events. We need everyone's support to make these events happen and to be successful. And as always, events could change a little or new events added on after the calendar is posted and the news letter goes out. Please be sure to stop by and check out the bulleting board as we will do our best to post them as quickly as possible.

Thanks again to everyone for the support and hard work. Let me apologize if I forgot to mention someone's name for something they have done around the lodge. It is hard to catch everyone when you are doing an article. Please just know, you are all very much appreciated for all you do. We could not survive without such wonderful members.
